From Quran 27 "The Ant" 27.26 And Solomon was David's heir. He said: "O ye people! We have been taught the speech of birds, and on us has been bestowed (a little) of all things: this is indeed Grace manifest (from Allah.)" 17 And before Solomon were marshalled his hosts,- of Jinns and men and birds, and they were all kept in order and ranks.18 At length, when they came to a (lowly) valley of ants, one of the ants said: "O ye ants, get into your habitations, lest Solomon and his hosts crush you (under foot) without knowing it." 19 So he smiled, amused at her speech; and he said: "O my Lord! so order me that I may be grateful for Thy favours, which thou hast bestowed on me and on my parents, and that I may work the righteousness that will please Thee: And admit me, by Thy Grace, to the ranks of Thy righteous Servants."

From a talking ant why not move on to a talking bird? 20 And he took a muster of the Birds; and he said: "Why is it I see not the Hoopoe? Or is he among the absentees? 21 "I will certainly punish him with a severe penalty, or execute him, unless he bring me a clear reason (for absence)." 22 But the Hoopoe tarried not far: he (came up and) said: "I have compassed (territory) which thou hast not compassed, and I have come to thee from Saba with tidings true.

From Islam in Light of History "Abu Karb Asa'd, also called Tubb'a, occupied the cities of central western Arabia at the beginning of the 5th century A.D. Among those cities were Mecca and Yatrib, also called al-Medina.

The inhabitants of Mecca had emigrated from two Yemeni tribes, Oas and Khazraj. They too, emigrated to Yathrib after the dam in Yemen was damaged around 150 A.D. These tribes were living with two Jewish tribes, Beni Kharithah and Beni Nathir, which were already established. Abu Karb Asa'd was of Yemeni origin. He built the kaabeh at Mecca to reinforce his rule over the city, and to show favor to the citizens of mecca who were without a temple of worship. They, like him, shared the same pagan beliefs.

Tubb'a also tried to build bridges with the Jewish community in Yathrib. He learned their religious thoughts and rites. He learned the Jewish myths, such as the legend of the hoopoe bird that announced the kingdom of Saba to Solomon. This myth came from the Jewish mythological book called the Second Targum of Esther. Mohammed incorporated the same myth into the Qur'an."

Back to the hoopoe bird's words 23 "I found (there) a woman ruling over them and provided with every requisite; and she has a magnificent throne. 24 "I found her and her people worshipping the sun besides Allah: Satan has made their deeds seem pleasing in their eyes, and has kept them away from the Path,- so they receive no guidance,-

Kaabas were built all over Arabia for worship of the sun, moon, stars and planets. The moon was considered the most powerful of the pagan deities. In some areas that preeminence was supplanted by sun worship. In some areas the sun was worshiped monotheistic. Mohammed's tribe the Quraish were immigrants from Yemen the Saba area to Mecca.

This surah details Jesus allegedly speaking from the cradle Sura 19:28 "O sister of Aaron! Thy father was not a man of evil, nor thy mother a woman unchaste!" 29 But she pointed to the babe. They said: "How can we talk to one who is a child in the cradle?" 30 He said: "I am indeed a servant of Allah: He hath given me revelation and made me a prophet; 31 "And He hath made me blessed wheresoever I be, and hath enjoined on me Prayer and Charity as long as I live; 32 "(He) hath made me kind to my mother, and not overbearing or miserable; 33 "So peace is on me the day I was born, the day that I die, and the day that I shall be raised up to life (again)"!

The source of this fable is from an Arabic apocryphal fable titled Injilu 't Tufuliyyah, better known as "The first Gospel of the Infancy of Jesus Christ". Here is how it read in the original version "Mary, I am Jesus the Son of God, the Word, which thou didst bring forth according to the declaration of the angel Gabriel, and My Father hath sent me for the salvation of the world."

Quran 3.49 "And (appoint him) a messenger to the Children of Israel, (with this message): "'I have come to you, with a Sign from your Lord, in that I make for you out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, and breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by Allah's leave: And I heal those born blind, and the lepers, and I quicken the dead, by Allah's leave; and I declare to you what ye eat, and what ye store in your houses. Surely therein is a Sign for you if ye did believe;

This Quran fable was plagiarized from "The Gospel of Thomas the Israelite" - A known and documented book of fables.

"The child Jesus, when 5 years of age, was playing on the road by a dirty stream of running water; and having brought it all together into ditches, immediately made it pure and clean; by saying a single word. Then having moistened some earth, he made of it twelve sparrows. And it was the Sabbath day when he did these things. There were many other children playing with him. Now a Jew, seeing what Jesus did, that he was playing on the Sabbath day, went his way to (Jesus') father Joseph. He said, "Behold, your son is at the stream of dirty water, and having taken up some mud, has made of it twelve sparrows, thus desecrating the Sabbath. On this Joseph went to the spot, and cried out, "Why did you do these things on the Sabbath day which it is not lawful to do?" Jesus then clapped his hands at the sparrows and cried aloud to them, "Go off!" So they, clucking, flew away. The Jews seeing it were astonished, and went and told their rulers what they had seen Jesus do."

Sura 105.1 Seest thou not how thy Lord dealt with the Companions of the Elephant? 2 Did He not make their treacherous plan go astray? 3 And He sent against them Flights of Birds, 4 Striking them with stones of baked clay. 5 Then did He make them like an empty field of stalks and straw, (of which the corn) has been eaten up.

Made them like manure? In this fable we have birds completely decimating an army by stoning with clay.

By one Islamic explanation "The holy sanctuary (Haram) has remained unconquerable. Abraha al-Ashram, the Abyssinian viceroy of Yemen, tried to demolish it in 570 CE with a strong army and hordes of elephants but was prevented from entering the city (Holy precinct). The people of Makkah had decided not to defend the Ka'bah, fled the city and took refuge in nearby hills overlooking Ka'bah. By Allah's Command, the 'Abaabeel' (flying creatures, birds) pelted stones at Abraha's army and decimated it, leaving them like green crops devoured by cattle."

Mohammed's Alleged Ascension to Heaven

Sura 17.1 Glory to (Allah) Who did take His servant for a Journey by night from the Sacred Mosque to the farthest Mosque, whose precincts We did bless,- in order that We might show him some of Our Signs: for He is the One Who heareth and seeth (all things).

Mohammed's alleged overnight trip covered the 766 miles from Mecca to Jerusalem, a trip to heaven, and a return to Mecca, and is described in part as follows:

Sahih Muslim, Book 001, Number 0309:
It is narrated on the authority of Anas b. Malik that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: I was brought al-Buraq Who is an animal white and long, larger than a donkey but smaller than a mule, who would place his hoof a distance equal to the range of vision. I mounted it and came to the Temple (Bait Maqdis in Jerusalem), then tethered it to the ring used by the prophets. I entered the mosque and prayed two rak'ahs in it, and then came out and Gabriel brought me a vessel of wine and a vessel of milk.

Unfortunately the temple that Muhammad claimed to have visited had been torn down about 500 years prior to his claim of having prayed in it. Muhammad thus illustrating the wisdom of the Greeks and Zoroastrians in having fabled riders ride on their fabled flying steeds.

After claiming to have prayed in a temple in Jerusalem, that history shows had been torn down 500 years before he made the claim, next on Mohammed's night journey was Mohammed's trip to heaven on the back of his flying animal Baraq. The following is the beginning of the above titled, from Dr. Rafat Amari. For the full article click here. Quoting Dr. Amari:

"Did Mohammed ascend to heaven as the Qu’ran states? Did he do so in a trance? How much was he influenced by the occult? These questions, which are important to the credibility of Islam, are the subject of our study today.

Ascending into heaven was the common way Middle Eastern sects explained how their leaders obtained the religious laws they taught.

Sects that arose in the Middle East before Mohammed put a great deal of emphasis on ascension to heaven. Those who claimed to be prophets within their sects, whether they were mythological figures in their tradition or were given biblical names, all had ascension stories.

Yima, a mythological Persian figure who represented the sun, was visited by the angel Sraosha who accompanied Yima to heaven. Yima was subsequently commissioned to spread the religion on earth.[i][1]

Zoroaster claimed to have ascended into heaven to obtain a religious law from Ahura Mazda for the nation of Iran.[ii][2] In like manner, Mohammed claimed to have visited heaven where he was commissioned with a religious law for the nation of Islam.

Vohuman, who was the angel that accompanied Zoroastrian figures in their ascension to heaven, is easily compared to Gabriel, the angel of ascension in the Qu’ran.

The angel Vohuman was aledged to have accompanied Zoroaster to heaven.[iii][3] Vohuman has many affinities with Gabriel in the Quran. First of all, he is the angel who accompanies those who ascend to heaven.  We find Vohuman descending from his golden throne to  accompany Viraz to heaven into the presence of Ahuramazda.[iv][4]

The same thing is said concerning Gabriel in the Qu'ran. In Surah 81 and verse 20, Gabriel is described as “the personality with rank who stood before the lord of the throne.” He is the one Islam claims accompanied Mohammed in his ascension.

Another similarity between Vohuman and Gabriel is they were both huge in stature.[v][5] Vohuman is portrayed in the sacred Zoroastrian books as the judge who condemned sinners.[vi][6] In the Qu’ran, Gabriel is the judge who condemns the nations and the cities.

The word “spirit” is used of both personalities. Vohuman is called “spirit,” and the Dinkard, book nine, stresses the importance of loving Vohuman.[vii][7]

Likewise, in the Qu’ran, we find Gabriel referred to as the “spirit” and sometimes as the “holy spirit.” Many of Mohammed’s Hadiths stress or focus on the love of Gabriel for mankind even for those in heaven.[viii][8]

The angels in the Bible are agents who proclaimed a message to a few individuals,  then they returned to heaven. They never drew attention to themselves or claimed a relationship with men. The angels hide themselves, pointing only to God.

But in the case of Vohuman and the spirit who claimed to be Gabriel in the Qu'ran, they both called attention to themselves connecting men to themselves. This indicates they were negative spirits competing with God rather than affirming Him. In reality, they behaved like the malignant spirits that possess mediums."

Occult characteristics of Vohuman in Zoroastrianism and Gabriel in the Qu’ran point to the true identity of  both spirits.

We find Vohuman enters the mind of Zoroaster and mingled with his mind.[ix][9] Likewise, Gabriel is described by Mohammed’s biographers as entering the bodies of humans.[x][10]

On the other hand, angels never entered the bodies of humans. Other than demons, the only one who enters the body of a human is God, the Holy Spirit. He gently makes His home in the soul of a person when he is saved through the redemptive work of Christ. The Holy Spirit gives peace, joy and tranquility to human souls. But demons enter the bodies of people who invite them in or by people who are involved with magic and the occult. People who are demon possessed have signs such as convulsions, a feeling of terror, sweating, and they may lapse into a coma which is something that also plagues mediums who receive oracles from devils.

Mohammed claims Gabriel inspired Mohammed to write the Qu’ran. But if Gabriel was a true angel, why did Mohammed suffer from the same symptoms as those who are demon possessed when he received the Qu'ran? Mohammed experienced convulsions, a feeling of terror, comas and severe sweating. These symptoms were never encountered by any prophet in the Bible."

Volume 2, Book 18, Number 158:
Narrated Abu Bakra:

Allah's Apostle said: "The sun and the moon are two signs amongst the signs of Allah and they do not eclipse because of the death of someone but Allah frightens His devotees with them."

Are modern day "devotees" of Allah frightened by an eclipse too?

Mohammed and Alexander the Great
(one alternate title - The Science of the Quran)

According to Mohammed, on one of Alexander the Great's journeys - Surah18.85 One (such) way he followed, 86 Until, when he reached the setting of the sun, he found it set in a spring of murky water: Near it he found a People: We said: "O Zul-qarnain! (thou hast authority,) either to punish them, or to treat them with kindness."

As an aside to Mohammed's science above, believe it or not, Mohammed believed "Alexander the Great was a Muslim leader who made Jihads to spread the religion of Allah throughout the world".1 But there is no question from the actual historical record that Alexander the Great is revealed as was one of the greatest pagans, and perhaps the most consummate polytheist idol worshiper, in world history, not only checking with the keepers of the pagan gods before going on military campaigns, but even declaring himself to be a god - specifically the son of Zeus. But then the records of Islam are larded with even more serious contradictions of the actual historical record as the Mecca page also attests in an even more stunning account.
